DOUBLE BILL:
Steinunn & Brian
Crazy in Mr Love with Mr Perfect
Since ours is a culture imbued with Love, the choreographer duo Steinunn and Brian were completely baffled as to why Happiness didn’t also include them. So they turned their attention to relationships, both factual and fictitious, scrutinizing and dissecting them all.
“We watch at exquisite love stories, not a chance in hell romance, and miraculous liaisons based on real events. Why do we do this? Is it because we yearn to be involved ourselves? Then again, if fiction really is based on fact, why does happiness not shine on us?”
In Crazy in Mr Love with Mr Perfect, a young man and woman are both searching for the perfect man…
In this highly-regarded and celebrated performance, Icelander Steinunn Ketilsdóttir and American Brian Gerke employ humour and irony to examine our longing for love. The duo have been collaborating since 2007 and made their debut with Crazy in Love with Mr Perfect as part one in a trilogy on love, sex and relationships.
